ok im gona apologise in advance cos this is prob gona b quite a depressive post!

I just made the biggest mistake so far and weighed myself :? i knew i had put on weight but my christ didnt know i'd put on that much!!! i really dont know what to do, i've still got another 5 months to go and more weight to gain, and im petrified of it! this time last year i was 11.5 stone, now im 15.2 an i was 13.2 when i was weighed at 8 weeks, thats 2 stone in 2 months :evil:

thats it, im changing my diet, fruit, veg, pasta, brown bread, and half portions (i've been eating quite big portions) and im gona see which pools do aqua natal and start that. io cant put on any more weight. I'm going to sit down and work out how to do it healthily. wish me luck! :(
 
dont worry too much about it....

when were pregnant, we only need an extra 200 calories a day.. and thats not until the last few weeks so there'll be nothing wrong with you cutting down.

and ur mentioning all the good stuff which is great.. and the aquanatal classes are even better..

eat as healthy as u can like u said u want to, but maybe have a pint of milk each day just to put ur extra calories in, plus its good for babies bones too xx
 
i drink like a gallon of milk a week anyway OH is always telling me off cos we go thru about 10 pints a week :shock: :lol:
 
You are not alone only I refuse to go on the scales! :oops:

I just know I have put weight on (more than I should have) and I am going to start going swimming again!

Oh well it will all be worth it in the end just means lots of work after baby is born :rotfl:
 
tell me about it, as if we're not gona be working hard enough looking after baby, we also have to work hard to lose weight, pff, i tell ya men have it easy
 
Awww babe i know how you feel, since having Isla i have always been 10stone 2pounds and i was weighed at the midwife app at 12 weeks and i was 11 stone 4 pounds, i cried there and then in front of the midwife. DH and her didnt know what to say.... :roll: I checked the net and that makes me a size 10/ 12 and clinically obese? WTF? :think:

It is upsetting when you put on so much weight and then it says the baby weighs like an ounce on the baby info websites. WHat the hell is going on with my body? Any way after i had Isla i was so busy running around after her i lost all the weight easily, if your young and active and chasing round after a newborn you can't help but lose weight. Plus your body recovers quickly first time round. As a bonus after i had Isla i lost my appettite big time and only nibbed bits and pieces too which helped me to cut down on the pounds.

Last time i put on 3 and a bit stone and this time i am on track to put on 4, scary but at least my baby will be kept warm!

Try not to worry, at least you are gaining weight for a reason and not just cos you've pigged out....

If you're still upset feel free to PM me and we can complain to each other and drown our sorrows. :rotfl:
 
i didnt cut out on any of the yummy stuff, just cooked it different.
like say roast potatoes.....still have them, just dont cook them in oil, tastes the same. just cut out the fat.
i was really lucky on this baby as i was back to my normal weight in 2 weeks!!!!!! worked for me lol
i was quite surprised really as i craved pork pies all through my pregnancy........dont even like them
never ate them before and havent eaten them since YUK
 
Im just going to be a puddle of fat when the LO comes out lol. its my fisrt so I didnt realise how much I would put on............ thats my excuse and im sticking to it! lol

Weight means piss all when you're pregnant. Just go with what your body tells you and try not to worry. Too many people become obsessive about their body image and are so hard on theirselves during this time!! Your bodies are doing the most amazing thing possible....creating a new little life. You should be amazed by your body at this time not upset by it! The weight will come off afterwards. We can't all be like Victoria Beckham. As long as you're not troughing like a crazed pig beast and piling on stone after stone then you'll be ok. You don't have to eat for 2 but if you're hungry don't deny your body something, it'll just make you feel worse. Even if you're active and healthy then you still may put on 3 or 4 stone.....its just your body doing things it needs to to present you with a beautiful baby!
 
You don't look anywhere near 15.2 in your bump picture. You've got a lovely figure :)
 
thanks, u've all made me feel much better, i dont feel like im 15.2, and i dont think anyone would think i weighed that much to look at me, was just a shock when i saw it, its the heaviest i've ever been. trying not to let it upset me but when i have an off day just gets to me.

had some much needed retail therapy at the weekend, got a posh meal to go to so i had to buy some smart clothes, made me feel loads better when i put them on, felt all feminine instead of flumpy :rotfl: will put pics up after the meal, but i cant wait to wear it and just feel gorgeous! :cheer:
 
Enjoy your nice meal, dont worry too much about your weight it will settle down! Hope you have a lovely time - post some pics!
