Fairy cakes help!

I have a recipe that I normally bake for sponge cake. I bake it for 30-35 minutes.

I want to make fairy cakes this time so I assume I bake them for a shorter time?

Any ideas how long?

Depends how many you are baking at one time, if your doing a couple of trays (say 24 cakes) I would think 20 mins.

To test if the sponge is cooked just press it gently with your finger - if it feels firm its cooked.

12-15 in my oven, fan assisted


Get a cocktail stick and stab it if its dry there done

or use a knife if sticky then needs longer

I did them for 20 minutes and they are spot on!
