If requested, can Facebook trace the IP address that someone is mailing from?

tapatalking!!!

They can but I think it'd be dangerous if they then gave it out to members of the general public, data protection, risk of people doing it for nasty reasons blah blah blah, would probably hand it over to police if they requested it if it?

They would be able to. But don't think they would give that sort of info out x

I agree with the others

I got rid of my FB (but I have been on the last few days due to a friends death) but I feel 100% better w/out it & I didn't even realise it was a problem.

I email my friends & family now & chat on msn & share photos. FB is just for nosey ppl I think

:oooo:

I would just like to prove that Im NOT the person who set up a fake account (to send myself abusive message!) so that I can move on and get peace xx

Oh my goodness! That's awful! The lengths that some people will go to just to make another person feel bad :( And it's not just that, it's the not knowing who is doing it.

Sorry you're having to go through this. xx

Too many idiots abusing Facebook these days which is why me and DH no longer have an account. I too feel safer for not using it anymore x
