ooo I annonuced it on facebook. but what I did was afer my first scan, I photoshopped the scan picture to have Ford capri in it instead of the baby.. ( as my other half is totally into old skool cars) then I made that my profile picture.. hehe. I felt a bit bad photoshopping my baby out of it's picture but it was too funny not to do.

Thats a good one! lol.

I just made subtle comments & if people asked I told them via inbox. It was only on the day of the 20 week scan that I said something more direct. I put "bladder full, here goes" & a fair few people guessed why. I haven't put my scan photo on & neither has my hubby as I only want really close friends & family to see this. I did put my scan picture on here, but nobody really knows me personally on here & we're all sharing our experiences together, so I don't mind.
It's a personal choice & what you feel comfortable with. The bun in the oven idea is great & the Capri in the scan is fantastic too. Do whatever you feel you want to & if you feel it's right for you, then it will be.

I am similar to Sunnyb... Didnt actually put anything up but a few of my friends and family who do know have put little comments here and there..I personally have no problems with people who announce it or put scans up I just felt I didnt want my baby on facebook before its born...Do you think thats weird? I just thought I only speak to half the people on there really so I dont want people just knowing for the sake of it..but as soon as baby arrives I will put pics up! Only 15weeks to go so excited!

Nope I wouldnt like to put scan pics up myself actually , so I dont think its wierd at all .

I didn't put scan pics up but hubbie and I both updated at the same time - I said I'm really excited I'm going to be a mummy!! And he put I'm really scared I'm going to be a daddy!! Not v subtle but did the trick and he got more comments than me x
