It was thought that babies eyes generally reached their final colour by 6-12 months of age. But a long-term study of eye color found that 10-15% of peoples eye colors continued to change into adulthood.
If it's bright blue I doubt it will change to brown now. My mums used to be blue but have gone grey/greeny/blue now. I don't think it would go from blue to brown? I could be wrong though xx
is it possible for a blue eyed mum and blue eyed dad to have a brown eyed baby?
or the other way round????
a girl i no has dark brown eyes her fella has dark brown eyes and the baby has bright blue eyes, every one is saying its not poss and he aint the dad???????
would about when 2 white people make a black baby though think it could be the case with eyes???? i feel real sorry for this lad he says every one says the baby cant be his, poor thing
maybebaby is right - it's possible for two brown eyed parents to have a blue eyed child.
Brown is the dominant gene, and blue is recessive...
so both parents would have to have one brown gene, and one blue gene, for this to happen. They would then both pass down their recessive blue genes to the child, so the child would end up with two blue genes, this having blue eyes:
But it's not possible for two blue eyed parents to have a brown eyed child, as you have to have 2 blue genes for a blue eyed person. Therefore, 2 blue eyed parents can only have blue eyed children:
I read that they had developed their life colour by 6 weeks but personally think thats rubbish as my dd eyes have continued to change.
My hubby has brown eyes, I have green and the dd has blue
