Mine said 70% Brown, 30% Blue.
I have blue, Father of Child has Brown. I just thought it was dead clever how it goes all technical! x

I don't know why I tried this, I have blue eyes and so does my husband and all his family, so I came out 100% blue. Although my mum has grey eyes, which isn't an option, so not sure it is 100%. It says that if both my parents have blue eyes it would be impossible tp have a green eyed child, but my sister has green eyes and parents are both grey eyes....

I got 50% brown, 37.5% blue and 12.5% green. Although me and my siblings all have hazel eyes so the baby may have that colour too. My OH eyes are bright blue so we shall see xx

ITs to do with the dominence of particular genes - the reason they say its impossible for two blue eyed parents to have anything other than a blue eyed child is because the blue gene is the recessive one - ( quietest) - so if a gene for brown or green eyes was present it would dominate the blue gene. Everyone has two copies of each gene (one from each parent).

The gene for green is at a different place to the brown one. so for eye colour your first gene is either brown or blue from each parent, then either green or blue from each parent - to have blue eyes ( technically a varient of blue) - you cant have any green genes or brown genes therefore you can pass that on to your children.

But eye colour is affected by other things than those two genes, including exposure to light ( thats why babies eyes are always blue to start with - green and brown need light to change).

I loved genetics at school so I had already worked out that our babies would have blue eyes (both me and OH have blue) but I would love to be able to work this out for hair colour because red hair is recessive aswell but OH sister and my cousin and aunt are red heads so I think is it possible LO might be a redhead).

I got 72.7% for brown and 13.6% for both green and blue. All my family and me have brown and all my oh,s and my oh have blue so I don,t know where greens coming from lol. One of my boys have brown eyes and the other blue, so it,ll be interesting to see what this lo,s eyes are gonna be.

Iv been googling the hell out of that ones but the hair colour gene is way more complicated than the eye colour one so not as easy to get your chances

From what iv read though I think iv a pretty high chance of red
Hubby has red ( although not very red more sandy red ish ) and i have red undertones in mine apparently also have red uncles and think grandfather also was so think that means baby will have 50% chance of getting the R gene from OH and 25% chance of getting a R from me

Would love a calculator for that one but dont think it exsists LOL

Not pregnant yet but thought would still be fun to do. Got Blue - 27.5%, Green - 22.5% and Brown 50% but not sure how accurate it will be as my mum has hazal eyes and that wasn't an option so picked green (more green than brown in hers)

Although I disagree with what it says about all babies being born with blue eyes as mine were brown when I was born
