Anyone seen this on Discovery channel i think?

Just posted in "how much does weekly shop cost" and it reminded me of this, its in America but these men/women devote hours to cutting out coupons/vouchers and literally have a military style procedure and end up saving upto 95% OFF their shopping!!!

Me & the OH have watched it once & was absolutely amazed at how much money people can ssave on their shopping bill. As much as I like a bargain & to save on shopping, don't think I have the patience like they do
xxx

I wouldnt have the patience either!

Did make me wonder if i could do it tho!! xx

I honestly don't think there are enough coupons circulated in this country for it to be worth the kind of savings that would make the time you devote to it worth it.

True i dont see that many and the ones i do arent the ones id use!

These people buy what is on offer i mean seriously garages full of stuff they looked like warehouses! x

When LO was newborn I registered for every baby club going and got sent to many coupons I had to keep a file, and organise it by category and date  I think its fair to say I had quite high levels of anxiety at that time!

I think the only guaranteed source of coupons, aside from online is Supermarket magazines or with loyalty schemes.

Considering that two of the "big 4" supermarkets don't even run a loyalty scheme it's not a huge pool to get them from.

I couldn't stockpile stuff!

I always put my reciept into asda price checker after. I usually get about 75p - £1 cos I look for good value anyway but once someone left theire receipt in the trolley so I took it home and it was worth £3.75!!

I saw this it was fab.

but in the uk it wouldnt work as there is a cap on how many vouchers you can use. I used to work in asda and then you could only use 3 vouchers or 10%. I liked it before then as you could use as many as you wanted i took home like 10 asda mags and cut them all out hehe

do they still do them on the magazine?

They have some in the Asda mag, not many tho, im a lil bit obssessed tho! I scour the 'net for free stuff and have started joining baby clubs again xx
