Expressing

Hi folks. This probably seems like a really silly question but I'm full of them lately so bare with me.
I intend to BF when baby is born but I also want to express off some milk for times when I need to leave baby with grandparents etc. How soon will baby & I establish my supply & how soon can I start to express & build a mini stock?

The recommended time is six weeks Hun but I had to express as soon as my came in due to latching issues. My supply settled after a few weeks of BFing xx
