Is it too soon for me to try LO on EBM from a bottle? She is latching on really well despite a lttle fussing, but I dont want to confuse her...

The problem is I have to go to a friends 30th in 2 weeks, I am only going to stop for an hour or so but with journey times etc I will have to leave Eva for a couple of hours and I dont think its fair on her or her grandparents to leave her without any milk while I am gone, so I need to be able to leave a bottle and know she will take it.

Is it OK to have a bit of bottle practice over the next 2 weeks, maybe one every other day? I sooo dont want to undo all the hard work we have put in on getting bfeeding going :?

I tried Lola with EBM from a bottle at about 1 week old and she was fine. I didn't get much off the first time and it took a while before i was able to express enough for a full feed.

The only problem we had was she prefered the bottle to me as it was easier to get the milk out. I thought it was best to stop using the bottle I can't remember how old she was though but now i can't get her to take one again

You might want to be careful expressing though as your milk won't have settled yet  [/url]

edward had emb within a few days.. go for it.. and the sooner you express it the more milk you can get bythe time you go out..they say dont express b4 8 weeks... but my bf support midwife made me express right away coz i didnt have much colostrum..

Thanks, I seem to have had totally different advice from my HV, midwife and bf support lady so I am a bit confused!

Think I will give it a try anyway and just not express too much each time.
