Expressing advice plz

Hi ladies
I have a medela swing breast pump which is good and comfortable to use but last night is the first time for a while that I have tried to express I did it roughly an hour after LO fed he only ever takes one breast and he can empty it in under 7 mins : 0 my worry was that I only expressed off just under 2 ounce
He is gaining roughly 4 ounce a week so haveńt been worrying that he is not on the breast long

I am so pleased that for the first time today he took the one as a bit ounce from me from a bottle as I want him to get used to it so maybe I could have a tipple at Christmas

I just don't know how to work it really I currently have the pump ready to try and express from the other breast while he feeds which should be in the next hour or so to see if I can get more than 1 ounce from the other

I worry that there won't be enough there when he wants to feed again

I'm just in a tiz about it all as you can see
Can anyone give me any advice on what's best to do please as I don't want to end up engorged too : (

Don't worry about not having enough milk - even if you totally empty your boob, if he wants to feed your boobies will make more! They're very clever

Try expressing at different times of day as you might not have the most at the time you tried. Most people find the morning is the best time remember if you do have a drink at Xmas there are guidelines as depending on how much you drink the time it takes to leave your breastmilk, any milk you Express before then can't be used xx

I exclusively express - in the evening I hardly get any milk - about 4 oz in 30 mins (double pumping). Your volumes will change throughout the day, and expressing is not a good indication of how much milk you have - as babys are much better at getting the good stuff out!
