Exercise?

I normally go to the gym 5xweekly and just suddenly thought that i wont be able to go and do my usual work out.

Just wodnered if it would be ok to do some light jogging for about 30 minutes on the tred mill? This isn't something i have thought about yet and i was planning on going later after work x
 
Yeah I think that would be fine. I believe the advice to be that exercise is generally fine, especially if your in a routine of going to the gym then there's no reason to stop.

Personally I wouldn't be doing any stomach crunches but I can't see what harm jogging would do.

Just make sure you don't get too hot though and drink plenty of water. Perhaps mention it to the gym staff just to be on the safe side.
 
you are very good to even consider keep going to the gym I have been so shattered over the last 11 weeks I havent managed to do anything! Yesterday I did a 5 mile walk for charity and could hardly move this morning lol. I think I will take up swimming again now as I am starting to get some energy back.

Just dont overdo it at the gym and no stomach crunches. If you are tired listen to your body and drink lots of water.
 
If I was you I would ask one of the instructors at the gym if they could advise a workout which was suitable through pregnancy and then you know that you are not doing anything too strenuous.
 
as long as your heart rate doesnt go over 140bpm you're fine

No heavy squats and go easy on the ab work (later on musnt do any lying on back)

Do your weights at 60% usual weight and dont do anything that causes you to hold your breath.

Other than that you should be ok!

(having said that, i only guessed i was pregnant because i was passing out doing 9 plates a side (total 360kg!!) on leg press...RIGHT at the time my poor little embryo would have been trying to implant itself!!!! must be a tough lil cookie 8) )
