This has been asked a hundred times on here probably! Has anyone had any success with the Ewan that makes the noises? Considering getting one for LB to have from birth in a few weeks. Exhausted ourselves shushing my 2 year old as a baby but he really seemed to respond to it so wondering if Ewan could be a lifesaver or if it’s just another gimmick x

Have you looked up my hummy. I have seen some good reviews for it. We are hopefully going to get one as a last purchase x

We have a ewan, named lamby! My ds 2 still uses his now and he's 3 in Jan. When we didn't have ewan I used to play classical nursery rhymes with pink noise background which is basically one of Ewans settings!

Thanks ladies! Good to know megs thank you. Has it got a sensor if baby stirs?

Loula haven’t heard of that one so off to google now - thanks! X

You have to manually turn ewan on, then he plays for 20 mins. We use him every night when we go to bed, hoping that in the long run it will help with going in his own room if it is a familiar routine. He likes to play with him in the mornings too.

Yeah no sensor but my ds quickly figured out how to turn the music on a select between the four settings with each leg. He is usually happy to stick with one.

My baby liked it when I started sleep training him, he would snuggle up close so his head was resting on the sheep while it made a white noise. Not sure how it would work for older children though.

We had one (well we still do but he doesn

I just used a white noise app on my phone and there was a setting to have it on all night so I used to just do that lol xx

We have an Ewan and we use it pretty much whenever we put DS down to sleep (he's 10 weeks now). I find it helps comfort him because he notices when he's put down and wakes up, but the heartbeat and white noise seems to help him settle again.

It also has a slight glow which helps you see better :p
I'd definitely recommend one.

Thanks ladies. I did some research on the my hummy as loula suggested and ordered one! Like that it activates if it hears baby stirring. Millie I had an app with my lb but he’s now always after it so don’t think he’ll like sharing with baby!! x

You will have to let us know how the my hummys are as I really want one x

My colleagues threw me a baby shower on Thursday and got baby a my yummy!!! My mum has then told me she has a grow owl for us too!!! We'll all be asleep!!!!

Oh fab megs! They’re expensive aren’t they so what a great saving for you!

I will do loula, he’s currently waiting patiently in the Snuzpod for his buddy to be born! Xx

We've got a Ewan. I bought him for my now 3yo & we used it now and again with her and she never really responded to it. So into the cupboard he went for 3 years.

I've just dug him back out and replaced the batteries for my 3 week old. I wanted a myhummy but couldn't justify spending £50 on something when we had Ewan in the cupboard, who cost me £30 himself! Lol

We've been using him for the last 2 days, it really helps him settle at this time of day, he sleeps in our room whilst I bath LO and get her sorted for the day. We use the heartbeat/womb setting.

One of the drawbacks is it only lasts for 20 minutes and switching him back on/finding the right paw can disturb baby.

The other drawback is you can't wash him. Whereas I think with the new myhummy the sensor comes out so it can be washed?

Maybe Santa will bring baby a myhummy! They are adorable and if we're getting results with Ewan I may invest in one. X

It's interesting as the fact the My hummy plays for longer isn't an appeal to me. I used to lie in my room desperate for Ewan to go off so I could get to sleep in silence lol. Also I felt that baby had to learn that at a certain point they had to be asleep (i.e at the end of Ewan's sequence).

My toddler now has a Scout puppy and he plays night time tunes. We put him on the 5min setting and he's asleep by the end of teh sequence most of the time.

I had a Euan for my first, didnt like it. I am also funny about putting toys and things in pre 6m.

We used Relax app hooked up to the docking station which allows you to play either one (or more) sound at a time. We used immersed, underwater (for womb effect) and then we put a light lullaby going through. Worked so much better.

Second one didn't like womb sounds, so that was a no go for him - still used the same app but with white noise, or just had the 10hour + loop on youtube.

Hope this helps :)

We have a Scout also (it was my eldests).

I love how he pronounces things. Me and my pal.... Car - ter, we like to do everything together

5 minutes of bed time music! - my youngest presses all the buttons so it never stays on this setting lol.

Thanks ladies. My lb never liked white noise apps so I thought I’d try something in the cot with this one (not planning on putting it very near him). Also myhummy turns off after 60m (or it might be programmable to less) unless you change it but I often sleep with white noise (snoring DH) so its not something that will bother me in theory!

Yeah, that's what is good about the Relax app - does any noise, same as Ewan and doesn't go in the cot. (personally I just wouldn't put anything in, toy or loose sheets otherwise)

I was lucky that although my boys liked different sleep sounds they were included on the same app. Couldn't be doing with going through all the toys to find a noise that suited

I feel your pain on the OH snoring - apparently I am worse pregnant but I myself need either silence or a fan/white noise. I'm not allowed my fan on given its winter now and I cant sleep with earphones in  Its all about finding what works :p
