Has anyone tried using Evening Primrose Oil as a cervix thinner? Im currently 35 weeks and was thinking of starting on a low dosage for the next 2 weeks and then upping the dosage at 37 weeks if I don't see any progress.
Does anyone have any recommendations on brands/dosages/methods of use?

I have just started using it, 1000mg orally and 1000mg inserted each day. No idea if its working. The sales assistant in H&B told me not to take it as it can cause a miscarriage?!

I used it religiously (orally and internally, upping dosage each week) for the last few weeks (and then went ten days late!) but mainly to avoid tearing. Ended up with forceps delivery, third degree tearing and an episiotomy! Bugger...... I say anything is worth a shot though, am sure it makes a difference for lots of people, my cervix just didn't play ball! :)

yes I inserted from 35wks as had some left over from when trying to conceive (great for that too- first month took it orally got our BFP!) and didnt have major tearing or any cervix issues...

I took it with DS.

Just got a pot from Tesco and inserted for the last couple weeks.

I had a small friction graze. No tearing, no stitches, no problem.

Taking it again this time too xx

I forgot about EPO! I've started on the old raspberry leaf tea, is everyone taking that too? I'm a bit scared to do both at the moment lol! Feels too much too soon, but I do want to get the benefits of both so I guess that means starting EPO around now too?? xx

I took it orally and inserted in the last few weeks and baby was 6 days late so I'm not going to bother this time x
