Episiotomy still not closed 2 months on

itchy is a sign of skin healing. i know its not the same, but my section wound took about 8 months to heal as its in an area that cant be kept dry and out to the air.

   have you tried some thing like arnica to help with the healing?

I've tried lavender oil and betadine. but i stopped both because i thought they caused the itching

with my dd1 i had to have an episiotomy and it also took ages to heal properly, i think it was about 8-12 weeks and it was still uncomfy for about 2-3 months after that during & after sex.

give it 3-4 more weeks hun and if it still isnt getting anywhere then press your gp and dont take no for an answer, there must be something they can do. itchiness is a good sign as it means the skin is healing just keep kepping it clean hun and make a note of any improvements.

xxxxx

Mine took months to heal properly although mine was a third degree tear aswell as episiotomy, the scar still itches from time to time to and Leif is 8 and a half months old now.

I know its not very nice and can be frustrating but it will get better :)
