Hi ladies
I suffered a head injury 7 years ago at the hands of my violent ex. My seizures only happen in my sleep or if I don't get enough sleep so I'm not on any medication. I've probably had less than 15 seizures since my diagnosis in 2010. My midwife has put me on 5mg folic acid and warned me that my seizures might become more frequent now that I'm pregnant. It's a hard pill to swallow because I wasn't born like this. I also blame myself for being with a crazy person who eventually caused me serious harm.
Anyway, I have to soldier on. Is there anyone else out there in the same/similar situation as me? I'd like any advice on how to cope with epilepsy now that I'm pregnant
TIA

Hi, I don't have first hand experience but my friend has epilepsy and like yo she's not on medication for it. She didn't notice any difference at all in her pregnancies so hopefully you won't see any changes either.
Don't be mad at yourself behind the reasoning, the important thing is you got out and you're now safe and well
