My MW came today and told me my babies head is 4/5th engaged does that mean she will be coming soon or just preparing herself?

My understanding of this is the midwife can feel 4 fifths of the babies head so 1 fifth is in your pelvis - so baby is getting ready. Aparentlywhen you get to 1/5 - 1 fifth it is just the nape of the neck that can be felt.......

oh ryt i got reali excited thinking she wud be coming soon. My iron is low so they have put me on tablets! which can cause sickness (as if i'm not sick enough!) And shes measuring 34cm which is good cos for the past 4 measursements she has measured 30cm xx

it is a positive sign though that baby is getting ready to come out!!! Sorry to hear about your iron. Make sure you take plenty of water as iron can make you really constipated!!! And can turn your poo black!!

first time that happened to me i shat myself.... not literally though black pebbles my poo resembles... theyre like maltesers

Yeh think LO's getting ready. However my midwife said that she had a lady and her baby was engaged from 34 weeks and ended up being induced after 10 days!!!!! Don't mean to be negative just don't want you to get u're hopes up too much

I think i just got a little too excited my OH was like Grace calm down! But i have got up this morning and stood up and had a gush of water that went to my knickers and wet my pj bottoms but i don't know what it is water or a lot of discharhe at the mo i have pains right under my ribs and at the tops of my legs anyone got any suggestions?

Hunny go to the hospital so they can check to see if its your waters

Hiya Girls well spent the whole day in hospital but it wasnt my waters they said it was probably where she was on my bladder all night and i stood and .... But now they are concerned about my BP it was 140/95 and wouldn't go down all day, so they want me to see my MW over the weekend and go to the hospital to see a doctor on Monday! They have told me if i get any headaches, flashing lights or a pain just under my ribs! The thing is i have headaches everyday so what am i meant to do ring them or not? They are worried about me developing pre-eclampsia is this really serious i don't know to much about it? Thanks Gracexx
