Hello everyone!
Just found out last week I have endometriosis. Had surgery for it and now on the mend. Anyone Know of any success stories following surgery. Iv been given a 6 month window of trying naturally again before I’m allowed fertility treatment. 6 months will push me on to three years of trying. Hoping for success x:)

Hi Liz, hopefully you'll catch soon now xx

can I ask if you had symptoms with this? Just I know my mum has/had it so wondered if by chance I might to.. I don't have any of the symptoms though. So probably not! Just looking for answers like always, boo! :(

Hi Millie how are you?I had spotting before af every month sometimes as much as a week before. I knew it was Endo but was told unlikely it was just one of those things. Had a laprascopy last week and showed mild Endo and they burnt it away. Apart from that I had no symptoms at all. I think a lot of people don’t get symptoms xxx

I am so sure I have endo... not many signs but it's auto immune and I already have 1 auto immune...going to get it checked out next month hopefully. I do have random pains in uterous and ovaries...hmmm but maybe I am just paranoid. Glad you had it sorted a d hopefully your bfp will happen soon x

Hey Alexis it’s def worth a try and getting it checked out. Apart from pre af spotting I had no other real symptoms apart from infertility I guess. Hope we get our bfp this year xxx

Hi Liz, I’m in the exact same situation as you. I have endo and had surgery back in Sept. doctor has given me 6 months to conceive naturally. Unfortunately I’m not pregnant yet but don’t get disheartened by that - after my surgery I read plenty of stories online about women managing to conceive within a few months after surgery. My endo is also quite bad too which is probably why it’s not happened for me.

Hope you have better luck than I do! Try to just enjoy the BDing and don’t think of the time limit - although granted that is something I’ve struggled with myself!!

I am doing okay thanks :) xx

Hmm I get brown+pink cm but usually only a few days before, not sure I'd call it spotting? I don't know.. it's always been a tiny niggle in my mind after finding out my mum had it.

Never been offered a laprascopy or hysteroscopy.. which seems dumb cause surely the NHS should have ruled everything out before dumping me with the ivf clinic! But think they don't bother if you have normal cycles.

I most likely have endometriosis, the tests were inconlusive.
I don't spot before af, but my period pains are excruciating! Even when heavy medicated I might puke from pain, and I'm stuck at home since I can't really move without crying or having to focus on breathing.
The same pain when O, luckily only a few hours.

Hello CDK500 thank you hope I get some luck now. Never been pregnant so it’s given me a little hope. Hope you get your good news very soon. I was hoping they would take me a little earlier than 6 months but that must be the protocol.

Hey Millie I not sure why they don’t give everyone a laprascopy I think they should. I was having issues with cysts which is why they gave me one. I have my fingers crossed for you that you get great news very soon!! X

Hello tiger paws did you have surgery? My friend had awful monthly pain and she had Endo.

Hope you're recovering well from your surgery and it leads to your BFP.

Totally agree Millie. It was much of the reason me and out first clinic had a bit of a falling out. They refused to even let me had an HSG!! All they wanted was to sign me up for IVF. I was horrified how little they were prepared to investigate. I was really thankful for the polyp in the end as that's the only reason I got and HSG and I also needed to have a hysteroscopy for them to remove it. Wouldn't have got either investigation otherwise.

Thankyou moomingirl hope your keeping wellxxx

I'm doing ok thanks. Trying to keep positive and waiting as patiently as I can for clinics. So not much new but still hanging in there.

I have endometriosis. I had s lap and had most removed but it couldn't be removed from some spots as could cause damage. My periods were horrendous, heavy and painful to the point of not being able to move.
Some women have lots of symptoms, some have none. I do think they should do a lap for anyone who has been ttc a long time. It's makes sense.

I just wanted to say that I researched lots and read about bee propolis and the benefits when you have endo. It's a natural anti-inflammatory and it helped so much with my pain. Even if you don't have pain, reducing any inflammation is better in terms of fertility. I took a high dose, not the small dosage ones from Holland and Barrett. I got mine from Amazon. I think 1000mg tabs. Thought worth mentioning.
Best of luck to you all, I hope you all get your bfps soon xx

Yes, I've had two laps, and one of those where they flushed my remaining fallopian tube with no luck. They found spots they think are endometriosis but the tests were inconclusive so papers say maybe and my treatment depends on the specific doctor :wall2:

Thanks Lisey might try this. I’ll try anything hope to get some good news in next 6 months fingers crossed xxx

Hey tiger paws it’s never straight forward is it. What’s your next step?

Hi Liz I have endo but mild. I had a lap to remove it. Is your mild too or more severe?
I thought I would get pregnant after lap but still no luck. The surgeon said my endometriosis might come back and recommended to go on birth control after having a baby. Also she said it shouldn’t affect my fertility but to be honest I disagree. I still get bad af cramps since having the op and I am thinking it’s already coming up.

Hi Liz,

I had a laparoscopy in July 2017 and had some endometriosis found and removed.

I had been trying for a few months before that, but referred to Gynae due to pain during and after intercourse and bleeding after intercourse, along with very heavy periods. It seemed that coming off the pill had done that, as the pill was keeping the endometriosis at bay before TTC.

After my laparoscopy, I began trying again after a couple weeks of healing.

I fell pregnant in early October 2017, so 3 months after the laparoscopy and endometriosis removal.

Now got a very healthy little baby growing and ready to be born in July.

Hope my story helps give you some confidence that it can be done and isn't always doom and gloom. I know things are different for everyone and I was one of the lucky ones.

You will get there and good luck xx

Awe jemrose that gives me great hope thank you.love hearing success stories. Congrats on your bundle of joy lovely news xxx
