Has anyone had this? Its on the list of procedures after failed IVF but I forgot to ask what it involves.

Ive heard of it think it helps with implantation its not offered where we are but id go for it if it was it can't do any harm but if your self funding look into the stats on how much it improves pregnancy rates x

I can only find info on other forums about it, no stats or success rates.

We asked about this at our appt today as we're about to start our first round. The nurse said they don't offer it the first time but something they would do after a failed round. We had recently read an article about it which made us ask. As far as I know they just make a couple of scratches on the lining of your uterus and it's supposed to help implantation.

My clinic offers this as I can tick it on one of the forms. We're NHS funded though so not sure if we would have to pay for it ourselves or not. I'd find that out next week at our appointment with the nurse. On their price list it's £235

I've attached a copy of the info my clinic provides about it hon. Hopefully it will help. I've also attached info about other procedures that they offer in case you're interested in them.....

Xx

It won't let me attach the others I'm afraid but they are EmbryoScope, EmbryoGlue and IMSI which it looks is to do with picking sperms xx

Thank you I will have a look. Is the last one ICSI maybe? We had that for the first go but got a good fertilisation rate with the non ICSI ones so didn't need it the 2nd time.

No it says it's a similar proceedure but its to do with the DNA structure of the spermies which can also effect the likelihood of miscarriage.... xx

Sounds interesting! Don't think it was on our list!

Hi blueflower, I attached this to your journal too, it's from my clinic, I'll defo have it xxImageUploadedByTapatalk1415360513.362949.jpg

Ah you're at Bourn Hall Dee, that was my other choice. A friend of mine is now 28 weeks pregnant from her first cycle there. Good luck x

Yep we're using bourne. Their stats are very good so preying we'll be one of the lucky ones, always good to hear a success story :-) xx
