So I have Endo. I just wanted to know how many more of you are out there and hear about your struggles and succes!

I'll start TTC after my weddiing in November and can't wait. (well, the wedding of course being the big thing, but this is something we both wanted for a while, I just did not want to have to try to fit into a wedding dress with a big baby bump)

Hi and welcome

I have been ttc for 2yrs after being diagnosed with endo and just had my 2 lap to remove more endo (changed consultant) and have now been referred to my local fertility clinic.

Good luck with the wedding and ttc

Sounds like you have had quite a journey so far.
Good luck at the fertility clinic, how are you feeling about it?

This is exactly why I would like to know what is going on with other people with this condition.
When I was diagnosed it was just because of anothe opp I had and they just gave me a leaflet about the condition and that was it.
I never thought much about it other then it being nice to have a reason for all the pains and littel problems I had, but now I wish they would have explained things more etc. Guess I will wait and see how (if already) it affects me when we start trying.

I have a review with the consultant in 3 weeks and I am dreading it cause I know it's going to be bad. In regards to the fertility clinic I am just glad to get the ball rolling and be getting the help we need for that bfp that's so wanted. I got to the point I don't even test anymore cause I know the witch will get me anyway.

There are some women that have endometriosis and go on to conceive without any problems it just depends were it is and how severe it is.

Hiya,

I have endo too, had a lap last year and the pains started a year before that. I don't know how long I have had it for but I have been pregnant 4 times with one son who is 12. My miscarriages have all been in the last three years and have been assured by the experts at the recurrent miscarriage clinic that there is no link with the endo and miscarriages. Some women still get pregnant quite easily and others need extra help, it really depends where the endometriosis is etc. I wish you loads of luck and hope that you don't have any troubles with conceiving xx

Hi All,

I am a fellow sufferer and have only been trying to conceive for a few months. I find intercourse very painful which is a huge hurdle in itself so am using OPKs to ensure I don't put myself through unnecessary pain (isn't my DH just the luckiest!!). I was on the pill for a long time to minimise the symptoms along with mefanamic acid.

So far in TTC I have found that symptom spotting is impossible as I seem to suffer from all the would be early pregnancy symptoms as a result of endo.

Fx all goes smoothly for you and congratulations on your wedding! :wed:

I don't have pain anymore since my lap but beforehand I had terrible pain each month, intercourse wasn't painful but periods were horrendous.I just wanted to let you know about something that helped hugely with the pain. Bee propolis, it was like a miracle vitamin for me and reduced my pain to practically nothing. Its an anti-inflammatory. You can get it online or from Holland and Barrat, I did loads of research of reducing pain naturally as one doctor told me not to take mefenamic acid whilst ttc and it helped more than I could have imagined xx

I have severe endeo and the chocolate ovarian cysts that go with it often. Ive had three laser laporoscopys wih removal of cysts each time. I alsomhave a damaged ovary from an infection caused by a bad reaction to my body rejecting the mirena. I came off all my meds (prostap injections) in october to give my body a rest and try naturally/ prepare for ivf. I fell pregnant naturally in feb. Was a shock to say the least, my consultajt scratched his head a bit! Complete miracle baby. Honestly miracles do happen. Best of luck to all of you I hope you get your little miracles soon xx

Lyllian it's so nice to read a positive ttc with endo story thank you for sharing it xx

Thanks dolly i dont know how it happened my syomach, bladder, bowel and uterus were all stuck together with endeo tissue and had to be seperated and lthey reckon the cysts were caused by the eggs bursting and not being released. I saw my consultant when i was up for a scan (im classed high risk preg) and he simply said medical science can only do so much sometimes nature simply has other plans. I hope it gives you all some hope. Its a horrible condition to suffer with in day to day life and the thought you cant concieve aswell is just too cruel. But it can happen and theres no reason why it wont happen for you too. I'll be keeping an eye out for all of you and pray ill see you all starting your pregnancy journeys soon. Take care very one of you xx

thanks lisey, i really appreciate the advice :) i am currently going cold turkey and struggling!!xx

Oh don't do that. The pain is too horrendous. I found nurofen plus to be the best pain relief once AF arrived but obv cant take it til you know you're not pregnant as had codeine in them but the bee propolis is worth a try. I cant remember the dose I took, I got the 1000mg ones but can't remember if I took one or two, be warned. They stink!!! but worth it xx

Lyllian, that's great that its all worked out for you. I think doctors are too quick to suggest people wont be able to conceive with endo. There will be so many women who don't even know they have endometriosis and go on to conceive just fine xx

Hi EsterLiz,

Just wanted to update you on the fact that i have got my BFP, I cannot believe it!!! I am so scared of anything going wrong but am absolutely over the moon that my endo has not affected my fertility at the very least.

So far I have experienced a fair bit of pain but apparently that will die down and the most unusual symptom I have experienced was fainting on ovulation day with I am certain is related to endo.

Wishing you lots of luck for November.xx

I just wanted to say a big thank you for all the responses. It always makes anyone feel better to know they are not alone on a journey.

I just wanted to know as there is nothing in the world I ever wanted more then my own family. Even when I was 5 and my mom asked me what I wanted to become I answered Í'm not going to work, I'll end up having no time for my kids like you'... yes, conforting and as I know now, I will be a working mom, but it just shows how much this has always been a part of me, so any condition that may influence what I always wanted is going to cause me to doubt.

Congrats!

I am so hoping everything will go right for you! Even though I'm not trying yet, let alone at your stage I totally understand how you feel. Just enjoy every morning sickness or whatever horible symptoms it is going to throw your way s a confirmation things are still going well. I can not wait to see what kind of emotional monster I will turn into...

Keep me updated! And enjoy!!!

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and have endo as well. I have two lovely chocolate cysts in my right ovary and am waiting a date for a laparoscopy to find out more. We're on our 5 month of trying which I know isn't that long but I'm 33 so starting to panic a little now!

I've been having acupuncture for about a month and taking Bee Propolis - which apparently is very good for endo.
It's too early to tell whether either of them will make any difference.

I'd be interested to hear anything that others have tried and any success stories!

Thanks x

Thanks EstherLiz :) Sorry I only just saw your lovely comment.xx I had a very bad night a couple of days back where the pain was truly excruciating but apparently that is fairly common for endo sufferers as many have scar tissue on the uterus so the cramps are a lot worse when it stretches! I will keep be sure to keep you updated of my progress!x

Hi everyone just reading all your comments on endo. Just wondered what the symptoms are of it, is it mainly just pain or is there others. Also will a scan pick it up or not?
