Elective c section

We have just booked our elective c section for the 20th April after an emergency one 4 years ago. I was just wondering if people had any stories of how there electives have compared to emergency.
Is it much nicer? Is recovery quicker?

I have only had an elective one before and felt it was relaxed and my recovery was fine. I am booked in for another one with this child and hope it all goes as smoothly. My friend had an emergency one first time round and said it wasn’t a good experience and she didn’t recover well and then an elective one with her second baby and said it was a totally different experience, much more relaxed and she recovered better xx it’s nice having a date isn’t it xx
