Just wondered if anyone is having an elective section and there reasoning for this? Also the doctor/ nurse reaction to the decision
thanks

Ummmm kind of!!

It was a choice I had to make due to medical issues, one consultant was quite rude and treated me like a naughty schoolgirl the other (that I've seen more regularly) was more than happy with my decision and has been very supportive.

All the other MW & staff have been fine.

I strongly believe in choice, personal choice, so if that's what you feel is best for you and baby then go for it.

I am due to problems in a previous pregnancy that resulted in a emergency c-section and having a type of arthritis and SPD. My consultant actually suggested it as a safer more comfortable way to give birth for me. x

I have been told I am not allowed to choose to have one. Is this not right then? Can I insist if that s what I choose?

yeh you can insist if you make a good enough reason for it. x

I had a c section and will next time. I won't be bothering vbac-ing at all!

I think I might have to have one due to problems that I have had, however if not I am thinking of telling them I want one. I would rather have a planned one than emergency

The NICE guidelines have changed recently so you can choose to have one
