Hey Ladies,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but for the last couple of months ive been thinking about donating my eggs.

It all come about when my Daughter was born and i was sat playing with her one day, i remember looking into her eyes and feeling so much love that it was indescribable. I wanted other woman out there to have that feeling i felt and not miss out..

For a few years i believed i wasnt able to have children (3 angel babies) and i remember that horrible sinking feeling that made me feel empty and unwomanly. But lo and behold.. I had my Daughter and felt that finally.. my dream (that one anyway) had finally come true.

I had a tiny inkling of what some woman feel like not being able to concieve and although be it for a few years, i want to help and make a difference to someone.. I know it wont be the whole world but itll be for that woman and her partner i can.

So anyway, ill stop rambling.. Ive been looking it up and finding out some info on it.. Has anyone (or) anyone know someone who has done it? and what was the experience like?

Thank you ladies
xx

Tigeress, it's so lovely to read your post. I'm currently on the verge of miscarrying again at 7+ weeks (confirmed no development, just waiting for it to start) and our next step is donor eggs - it's truly an amazing gift.

Have a look on the fertilityfriends website, there are women on the forum there that have donated - there's a whole section of the forum just on egg donation - admittedly more receiving than giving but I'm pretty sure there's a thread somewhere for people that donate.

As you so rightly say - it will be the whole world to that woman and her partner, if she has one, and on behalf of all of us that rely on amazing people like you - truly thank you x

I think it is a lovely idea tigeress, let us know how you get on.

Syd I'm really sorry to hear your news, I hope the donor eggs do the trick for you.

I would love to donate eggs but I don't think I can as only got one working ovary and pcos and I think I saw you have to have both ovaries :( xx

Thank you so much hun, sorry for the delayed reply. I have been researching it and it doesnt seem as 'tricky' as what i thought. First step being - making a phone call. Which i have rung this clinic a few times now and there never seems to be answer :wall2: But ill keep trying, probably just bad timing.. Ill be sent forms on history etc.. Not sure if the MC's i had will be a concern. But its worth a try and after that a consultation appointment to go through everything.

Im so sorry to hear of your news hun, sending love and hugs xx
