Ive just got back from being in town for a couple of hours. I went to the loo and noticed my undies are VERY damp, even my jeans were damp. I smelled my panty liner (sorry! :puke: ) and it didnt smell like pee, it smelled like chemicals  poss from the stuff in the liner? there was a tiny dry bit on my pants where the adhesive was, the rest was damp all over the whole area :?

The only thing I can compare the dampness to is when Ive been on holiday somewhere really hot and I've been in the same clothes all day and sweated loads. Im not sweating anywhere else on my body tho and it isnt even hot outside!

Could this be the start of something? What do I do now? Eeek... dont know wheather to disturb OH at work...? Ive changed and put another liner on.

God, Im gonna be so embarrassed if this is nothing :rotfl: I feel like such a drama queen

Oooh I have no idea hunny but hope someone is along to give you some advice soon

you could well be leaking your waters hun.. thats how i started and it got worse in the end..

dont worry just yet.. keep an eye on it. see if your next pad is damp.. contact oh and ring maternity and see what they say..

if they want you in, they will examine you and determine weather it is actually your waters or not..

dont be embarrased though hun.. best to get checked if it carrys on..

oh and good luck keep us posted!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I hope its your waters going TD, if not its you entirely!

ohhh good luck, see if you leak anymore or if anything starts ....
sounds like a bit of a gush! like sss said it could be your waters as some are a constant trickle and some gush or like me mine never broke so dont know what it feels like... unless they break this time.

good luck

it is possible so still keep an eye on it - also just like to add have you seen the trailers for the new puss in boots thing - reminded me of you soooo much :rotfl:

 BIG hugs tangerinedream
Don't forget you can always call the MW or hospital to discuss any leakages  Hope you're smiley and comfy where you are

Ive got my 38 week antenatal appiontment at 11 this morning so will be speaking to my mw about it. Ill keep you updated

I had my 38 week appointment with the mw today. I told her about the 'dampness'. She said I need to keep an eye on it and if it happens anymore to contact the labour suite to arrange a test (to see if it is the waters).

LO is 3/5th engaged and is lying back to back which Im not v happy about. She said I could try sitting 'backwards' on a chair (leaning my front on the back if you know what I mean) which could give him/her the room to move back round

Have a good bounce on the birthing ball to if you have one.

Good luck with it, hope lo comes soon :D

Glad to hear all is ok, I am sure baby will move from being back to back, bounce around on a ball if you have one and I'm sure in the ask a mum section there was a question asked about how to turn back to back babies and there were loads of suggestions given...have a look.

I'm off for my 36 week check in an hour, looking forward to it and hoping he's engaged himself, since yesterday I really feel like he's dropped again! We shall see what they say at the birthing centre shortly!!

Hi Tangerinedream,

I'm glad you had your appointment today and was able to check out your dampness. I have noticed a real increase in the same thing over the last 2 weeks. It hasn't come through to my jeans yet but I do have to change underwear during the day at times.

I can't wait for my waters to go properly. I think that will be the most exciting bit of labour (apart from having the baby of course). I guess it's the most dramatic... if you are out and about at the time!

Your baby could still have time to move around positions and change from back to back. Try those things suggested like bouncing on the ball and bumping down the stairs. They might help.

Me too TD and Sabrina.

TD - so glad everything was okay for you - but I bet you wish it had been your waters! I hope the baby turns for you honey.
