Buyers, you can no longer receive negative or neutral Feedback from sellers.

You should leave honest and accurate Feedback without the fear of receiving negative or neutral ratings

When did that happen? What if u have a really rubbish buyer? :|

yes i agree with what you're saying, although the amount of things i have bought & not been 100 % happy! so many things have smelt of smoke & i've wanted to put it on the feedback, but i couldn't coz i knew they would give me a neg back & i've got 100 % good feedback

so its good in a way, but yeh what if the buyer takes days & days to pay or just messes around & never pays

It happened on the first of May and there was uproar among sellers in the ebay community. It was because of the number of retaliatory negatives left by sellers.

It's a shame, though. I only sell old stuff on ebay but I've had some scary buyers and I couldn't have let other sellers know about them (you can block bidders) without negative feedback.

I didn't even realise. So in other words if you receive a really crap item, then you still have to leave positive feedback

no the other way round if someone takes say 2 weeks to pay you still have to leave them positive feedback

yeah i see what you been i guess im just annoyed becoz i got a netrual becoz apparently delivery was slow but that was becoz they took 2 weeks to pay  so if that happened again i wouldnt be able to leave back feedback about the length of payment time :?

unless you can use the star system, i don't think you can leave negative for a seller either, but you could give them all one star for each catagory.

Where abouts on ebay does it say that? I've just been looking at their feedback system and it still says you can leave positive, negative and neutral. I think it's kinda unfair if the seller can't leave negative feedback for a non-paying bidder or something but l have experienced ebay where I am FORCED to leave positive (or retract the negative I've left) otherwise the seller leaves me negative when I INSTANTLY pay every single time etc, so it's good in a way but doesn't reflect well for non paying bidders or time wasters etc.

Here's the announcement here...

http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/feedback-faq.html

It won't put me off selling but I think it leaves sellers open to a lot more abuse. I'm selling some of my maternity jeans at the moment and I had someone ask me to add a Buy-It-Now option which I did. They are fab condition and the buy it now is a third of what I paid for them in February. They then proceeded to ask me to reduce the P&P. As if I'm going to make a loss on postage just to please them!! I hope it's nobody on here :rotfl:

I thought that sellers can't leave any feedback at all because if a buyer doesn't pay then you don't send it, even though that is now left wide open if you change your mind after commiting to buy  . It's confusing.

I'm leaving someone negative feedback today as they took 11 days to post a pair of maternity jeans and now they've been allegedly lost in the post :fib: .

I wouldn't have left the negative in the past for fear of getting negative back but he is crap and had negatives witht he same thing.

He's accusing me of not paying and wants his ebay fees paid back to him!!! Doesn't he think I have a copy of the paypal payment made 5 minutes after item was won.

There are other changes they have made too.

I like that it only counts feedback from the last 12 months, I had a retaliatory neg left in 2002 and it meant I would never get 100% positive... but now I have it.

Also neutrals count as a minus point now as well as negs, I don't like that though. :?
