Ebay question

You know on ebay when someone answers a question and you get an email?

If you hit "reply" to the email, the email address that shows is something like [email protected]

Does this go to the person? Or do you have to go into my ebay and answer it from there?

I always reply via my personal email and it gets through. I can never be bothered to go into my ebay to do it!
