I don't feel like i've been eating very well during pregnancy and was wondering whether i'm compromising LO's weight.
Does the amount of food a mother eats correspond to the LO's weight?

Only if you have GD... otherwise the baby will just take everything it needs from your body and leave you with nothing. Obviously in extreme cases such as severe morning sickness, or in 3rd world countries where the mothers were woefully malnourished to start with, there would be issues, but in general your baby will be fine... its just you who won't meaning you might have a tiring and difficult labour or it might take you a long time to recover or it might hinder bfing... so its worth eating well for your sake if you can :)

squig's right- baby takes whatever it needs in calories, vitamins and other nutrients first- pregnant mother gets the leftovers! if u dont eat enough it's u who starves not baby! and similarly if u eat too much all that happens is u gain excess fat.

its definately in urs and ur baby's best interest to eat as healthily as possible; remember its quality not quantity that counts. x x x

I thought I ate alot in my last pregnancy (although more in this - are boys greedier?) but LO came out at 6lb12 which was right on the 50% line for 39 weeks. I didn't put on as much weight as I thought either.
I would ate whenever hungry, try and be healthy but generally just listen to what your body wants.
