Ok, I got the contraceptive implant removed recently, about 12 days ago. About 5 days after I got it out, I started feeling tired, vommiting for the first 3-4 hours after waking and feeling nauseas throughout the day. I've also started getting more bloated, gassy, my lower back's started aching the past few days and I just have this weird ache in my lower abdomen. Everythings screaming pregnancy, even my mums noticed, and pointed it out. I've been emotional, using the bathroom more...

At first I thought it was psychosamatic, 'cause it was a worry for me as soon as I got the implant removed. But it just doesn't seem that way... I 'feel' pregnant if you get me?

I'm taking a test soon... i'm a bit scared at the moment, and also thinking it may be too soon. I know women ovulate as soon as they come off the implant, so gestational age speaking, it'd be around 3, nearly 4 weeks, right?

I'm just wondering, is there any chance it's something else? I don't think it's side affects of coming off the implant, i've ruled out a bug/food poisoning, although i'm thinking perhaps a phantom pregnancy?

I know it's very soon for me to be having symptoms, but when I researched it, turns out alot of women start getting symptoms just days after conception o_O

Any help will be muchly appreciated :]

The crampings getting worse... well not worse, just more often. Help?

Hi PixieKitty, not got any experience of contraceptive implant but just wanted to say hello and offer you some support. From what I've read google searching it sounds like you can ovulate right away and usually always within 3 weeks after removal of an implant so I guess there is a good chance you could be pregnant. Have you done a test yet? All you're symptoms do sounds like they could be pregnancy related so guess it's just a waiting game to see if aunty flo arrives or to check for a wee blue line!
Did you have the implant removed to try to conceive?
All the best,
Sarah x

It could be symptoms of stopping the implant.

I had pregnancy like symptoms when I stopped taking the pill

You could be pregnant, but even if you ovulated straight away 5 days is a very short time for symptoms to appear. There's no way of knowing without taking a test. It may just be your body getting used to having proper cycles again. I hope you get the result you're after though  would you like to be pregnant?
