Hi all. This is my 1st post here so I'll fill you in on my story. I'm 39 and currently expecting our 1st baby. However things took bad turn on Friday when I attended Early Pregnancy Clinic. I got internal scan as my dates led me to believe I was 9 weeks pregnant. The scan however measured baby as 6 weeks. The midwife basically said that when I go back for follow up appointment next Friday that one of 2 things will have happened - baby will have grown and my dates will have been wrong and everything will be ok, or baby will not have grown and I have to prepare for the worst.
However my body still feels pregnant - nausea, tender boobs, tiredness and tummy swells throughout the day making it too uncomfortable for me to sleep on my tummy in bed at night. On the advice of my sister, who is a nurse and also currently pregnant, I took a pregnancy test yesterday morning, to see if my hormone levels were still up, and it read positive. Going by all these points I am so trying to remain positive throughout this week in the hope that all is OK on Friday morning and that my dates have been out.
