Early, late, due date

Has anyone heard before that if you were a late baby your more likely to have a late one yourself? If you were premature, again your likely to have a prem baby and if you were on time your baby is likely to be born around your due date?

I was six weeks early, which if this is true would mean that I should expect my baby in around two weeks! Yikes, I don't feel ready yet!!

I've heard that too - both me & my brother were 10 days early - so in theory my little one should be 10 days early too 8)

I havent heard this as a rule...

But my friends mum never carried her babies past 8 months, and my friend recently had her first LO and never made it past 8 months either, but this could be a coincidence

wel my mother had my sisters *TWINS* at 35 weeks, and me a couple of days early.... so who knows :l

I was born 2 weeks late but i've had one at 39 weeks and one at 41 weeks so don't know what that means?

Myself, my brother and my sister were all between 5 days and 2 weeks early. I mentioned this to my MW last pregnancy and asked if it meant my baby may be early too and she said quite possibly. And indeed Maddie was nearly a week early.

Oooooooooooo I hope not, I was 5 weeks prem which would mean baby will be born next week We're ready, but I want baby a little more cooked.

i read somewhere that it was the fathers genes that decided how soon or late you give birth . I was two weeks overdue and my OH was a week early, so lets hope for my sake that theory is true!

I dont really believe all that stuff though, i think your baby just comes when its ready.

Thanks Little Red! I think Ian was overdue, so who knows lol. Maybe the combination of him being overdue and me being prem will make our baby come right on it's due date lol.

My OH was 2 weeks late & our Son was 10 days late (was Induced) so that could be true...he's just like his father in every way

hhhmmm this is a tricky one as i was born in jamaica.

back then (85) they just went by guessimate .. but my mom knew she had sex feb 20 so expected me nov 20th but i came nov 29th

so im not sure if today in england i wud be classed as early or late

but jay's dad (was born here) was exactly 2 weeks early like she was.. and his mom had to be induced like i was

baby jay was 2 weeks early!

My sis had her little one 6 week early-her hubbie was 6 weeks early, and his dad was also 6 weeks early!!!
