Sorry I'm getting myself all knotted up with worry  but, since having a bad night of cramps on Sat night my left calf muscle is really sore and painful still. My ankle is aching and up and down my leg and bottom is too.

I have no swelling, redness or heat in my calf it is just tender and hurts when I walk but I am worrying myself about DVT.

Am I just being stupid because surely if it was anything like that I would know about it by now and the pain has only occured after having cramp it hasn't just come on suddenly for no reason.
I can't get a GP appointment unitl Friday although I am seeing my consultant at the hosp this afternoon and don't know whether to mention it ot him or if i'll come across as being a div (a bit like I am now!!)

Sorry for another panicky post off me any advice would be helpful though i'm trying not to Google anything.

I'd not panic. It may well be you've strained more of your leg from cramp than you thought. When you tense up you start straining more muscles elsewhere so you are probably finding your ankle and bottom etc are tensing up also because of this. Its like a knock on effect. Muscles knot and don't relax and then others round it tense up also. Ends up being more painful.

I'd take some normal precautions anyways, as it'll help you to relax a bit hopefully. And rather than worry yourself till Friday mention it to your consultant when you see them today.

As Sherlock said 'don't panic/' But definately mention it to the consultant, he/she should be able to put your mind at ease.

Hi honey

I got paniked about DVT due the pill I was on and long haul flying, I never had it at all but mention it to your doc but don't panic as it is totally rare and as you say you don't have swelling, sounds like a really bad torn muscle.

 I never mentioned it to the consultant as he seems really dissmissive (sp) when I ask him things.
It's not as painful today to walk on but is still sore and achy I think I am just having a bad attack of anxiety at the moment. I always worry about this when i have had cramp
