dummies

I use Avent dummies as they go in age: newborn etc... they are the only ones Jack will have, i always had one in house but he didn't start using it properly untill he was about a month or so old

I used the avent freebie on in my free gift I got from Boots when Ella was 7 weeks old.

the freebies win, jessica liked the mam freebie dummy I got on the front of mother and baby and has never looked back. I others which I bought but she wasnt interested and then one day I just popped this mam one in for curiosity and she liked it. It was shaped to the face and had wee bumps which were supposed to make it like a breast. I started dummies from the beginning.

I've never used a dummy, did try on but he kept spitting it out so never bothered trying again, he doesn't even suck his thumb!

Why too many E's??

I started using a dummy with Damien when he was about 2 weeks old because he hasd really bad rteflux and it settled him. he only really uses it when he is tired now, and spits it back out when he has fallen asleep. Still doesn't stop him sucking his thumb though.

My personal choice was not to use a dummy, but one night Jacob was screaming so much I gave one a go, but he hated it. He has since found his thumb and so uses it as he would a dummy and it makes life so much easier!!!!

Xxx

hiya, i bought a few kinds of dummies cos chloe was using my boob as 1 which wasnt nice!!!!but she never took to any dummies!!

My name is Keely and she is calling her daughter Keeley! Its too ways of spelling the same name! hehe xxxx

Me and my OH really didn't want to use a dummy, Charlie sucked his thumb for about a month when he was 5 months old so we tried him with a dummy then instead but he just put his thumb in as well as the dummy, wasn't interested at all. He grew out of sucking his thumb, we are lucky that he is such a happy baby x

my eldest two never had dummies, and they were really poor sleepers but i was too stuborn.lily had a dummie and blankie from 2 months but she gave both up at 11mths she just stopped wanting them she was my best sleeper

Im pro dummy but im at the stage now where I dont really want her with it and its proving to be a struggle. Im still letting her have it for a nap and bedtime but she gets distressed sometimes during the day if she asks for it and cant have it. Im not into this tough love, total withdrawel thing and will percivere but I just wanted folks to know that where its a good solution at the start (and I will give number 2 a dummy) the hard part in some cases is still to come. She is 2 btw and its not hindered her speaking at all.
