Due date has now come....

Ok, today is my official due date. I thought last night may have been the start of something, as i was having pains in the lower half of my bump and had backachey pains all day...however, nothing. I have not had a show or any leaking of waters. and today i have not had any pains/twinges (yet).

TBH, feeling well and truley fedup. My OH has this week and next week off work and I am worried that the baby will be 2 weeks late and he will have had to have gone back to work (he is in the navy.. so cant move paternity leave due to the ship). I am seeing the midwife tommrorow and going to ask for a sweep. however i am not sure if she will give me one.

does anyone know any good lines to use to ask (sorry i mean beg) for one, as i will be a little over 40 weeks. I know it may not even work, but want to try...

I am going to explain the husband thing..any other suggestions???

any suggestions greatly appreciated..

Know how you feel, my due date today too and no sign of anything happening

I would explain the husband situation, if shes a nice MW I think she will do a sweep there and then for you. My MW offered to do one today for me as she could see I was fed up but I asked her to wait until next week as me and baby are healthy so gonna get as much rest as I can. Hope it comes soon for you

I think id just explain the situation to MW.

Tell her hubby is going back at start of next week (white lies never hurt anyone) and please could she give you a sweep.

I would have thought she would do a sweep, you are past yur due date after all. Bear in mind though that your cervix has to be favourable for a sweep so she might not be able to do it even if she tries. Hopefully that won't be the case for you

was my due date yesterday as well and i am soooooo fed up.have had no signs whatsoever,no show,no twinges...nothing!!with my last baby i had a show on due date then went into labour 4 days later and although i know it could be completely different this time i am still expecting that to be the first sign that something is happening,feels like im in for a long wait!!
