As we don't have a garden I can't hang anything on a washing line as such, so often dry Isaac's re-usables in the dryer.. I just wondered if anyone had any nice natural tips as to adding something in the dryer to make the nappies smell of something :) I soak them in a nappy pail then rinse them in white vinegar in the washer, then dry, so there's no real smell, and I miss that, wish I could add a smell

Anyone?

I put an essential oil in - a few drops in the conditioner tray (at the moment its lavender)

oo i like that idea! think i'll be trying that - thanks beanie :D

grapefruit is particularly nice always get essential oil. not oil for oil burners.. you can get them on ebay.. put it in the fabric draw on a wash we use lavender and tea tree because they are anti bacterial.. but now and again i add fennel or grapefruit.. just because i have them here.. in fact im gonna take a look around ebay for some chamomile..

redshoes.. dont use vinigar every time..it deteriorates your nappies, and you dont particularly need to wet pale (unless you want to) you can just rince the nappy down the loo with the shower or flush.. and then put them in the bucket like that.. add a few drops of essential oil to the bucket, then wash on a cool prewash (i use woolen wash because i dont have a cold prewash on 90degree)with no detergent (i sometimes add some essential oil here) then right after the pre wash they go onto a 40 degree colour wash with half detergent.. 1-2 drop or essential oil

Thankyou ladies, that's great, shall be getting a range of oils asap :cheer:

lisa&alex I wet pail because I just don't think the poo will come out if I dry pail, and as I can't hang them out in the sun I don't want to stain them all, thankyou for the vinegar tip, and the rest too, I didn't know it could deteriorate them :o

if u put them on a rince wash ~(pre wash) then a normal wash there will b no stains.. try it next time u have an empty bucket.. if u dont get on with it go bk to wet pale.. napsan deteriates nappies to
