Doxycycline and late period, 16 year old neice???

This isn't for me but for my 16 year old neice. Her period is 2 days late, she finished a course of doxycycline about 2 weeks ago. Just trying to find out if thie antibiotic could be causing her late period. Very concerned obviously, she said she had sex last monday and the condom split!

Any help really appreciated x x

Not really sure but I think it would negate the pill if she's 2 days late a hpt would work-not sure if that's an option? If she's been unwell that could possibly affect her cycle.

Thanks frankie. She's not on the pill, think she may have had chlymydia, unfortunately, or something similar x x

Oh dear, I,ve heard of antibiotics making the pill less effective, but not sure if it can disrupt the cycle, but maybe the chlymyida can. She,ll just have to do a test to be sure.
