So we have really struggled deciding on names for our little man, he's due in 4weeks and I think we're now down to 2 we like.

What are your thoughts on them and which do you preference?!?

Jake

Or

Archie

No idea on middle name yet but our surname is Barksby :)

My personal preference is Jake! I have a nephew called Jacob and I just think it suits all stages in life! But both are lovely, maybe wait til your little man is here to see what he looks like? Xxxx

I like both actually bit I really like the name Archie :) xx

Archie was my 2nd choice for Kaiden xx

I have a cousin called Jacob (shortened to Jake) and a nephew called Tommy so I am biased!

xxxxxx

I think these are both great choices, but I slightly prefer Jake. If you go with this name, I would recommend choosing a middle name with more than one syllable. It will flow better when you say the full name :)

I like Archie best but I don't think it goes so well with your surname. Jake Barksby just flows better than Archie Barksby :)

I like Jake I think it suits the surname better and there r so many Archie's at the minute

Im preferring Jake. Possibly because I have a cat called Archie. And I think Jake goes better with ur surname.x

I agree with Tambo on Jake sounding better because of surname

i like jake better. have u tried to call out the name with surname as if ur telling the child off just to hear how it rolls off the tongue. it does help i did it with a few of the names we like and some just didnt sound right.

also what about using archie as the middle name jake archie barksby

I prefer Jake and it goes better with your surname. There seem to be loads of Archies at the moment, which would put me off the name.

I think we have decided! Well we had lol......

Jake bobby barksby

However I mentioned joey the other day and oh quite likes that one lol!

Love both Archie and Jake!
I agree that Jake goes better with your surname.
At the end of the day, they are both gorgeous boys names
so go with whatever your hearts are feeling!

Archie for sure, Jake is too common especially because of hardcore twilight fans lol. Archie is a lot more unique and it has a nice ring to it :)
