you drop your 10 year old child off at school at 0730 for a school trip to london Via the A1. The transport to take them there arrives and turns out to be a doulbe decker bus. Nothng speecial except that it is fitted with lap belts. The journey will take 4 and half hours there AND back.

What would you think to this? Would you feel comfortable about this type of bus taking your child into central london - returning at 2130 that same evening? Indeed would you allow them to go at all?

your opinions please. :)

I wouldn't have an issue I don't think unless it was a decrepid old bus that normally does Route 21 iykwim. At least it has lap belts. We used to travel overland to Spain on a double decker bus...it was great!

i may be just being thick but i dont see a problem with it?
is it because it goes on the motorway? the 700 bus goes from portsmouth to brighton via the motorway its perfectly safe and that doesnt have seat belts, ive taken my thomas in on before,
xx

it wasn't a double decker coach. it was a bog standard double decker bus.
perhaps me and the other parents were a bit over the top then

see thats what I meant about the route 21 bus

My issue would be that perhaps that isn't comfy enough for a lengthy journey and I'm presuming there isn't a toilet facility on there either
