but I think I may just be one of the people queuing up at 12 midnight tonight for the new Harry Potter

I can't wait... and I read really quickly so if I stay up till about 3 I can probably get quite heavily into it :D

In my defence I did spend years working in libraries especially with teenagers  so I got v heavily involved in HP then.

Actually thats an excuse - I just love it anyway

I've watched the 1st 3 films so then decided to loan The Goblet Of Fire from the library but couldn't get into it at all. Think it's because my usual read is Richard Laymon so wasn't gory enough LOL.

Have fun tonight :D

You must be mad. I havn't actually read any of the HP books but I will get around to it someday.

Gemma - with a little boy you will have to read them one day..they're the best books to get young boys into reading :D

Skairdy - do you read all horror books? I'm a huge James Herbert fan :D

i pre-ordered mine from amazon so its being delivered on staurday morning!! Yay!! i love the books, i started reading them after watchin the first film and since then i cant watch the films becus they leave soo much out especially the last film. i think i will have read the book by sunday morning so i mite have to pace myself or OH will start complaining about being ignored

xxxxx

Yeah I love horror. I've only read Ghosts Of Sleath by James Herbert though. Trying to work my way through Richard Laymons at the minute but he's wrote so many!!

I used to read Stephen King a lot but I find them a bit boring TBH now. He just goes on and on for ages trying to describe the weather or something I forget what the stories about LOL.

I used to love Stephen King but think the same as you now. :? Make sure you read the Rats trilogy by James Herbert - v gory  :D

Kim - the films are sometimes disappointing :( I try to think of them as seperate from the books.

Mine's coming in the post tomorrow :cheer:

Praying that Stanley wants a JUMBO nap

I can't wait for it to come out but there's no way I'm going to stand in the rain for it.

I'll pick it up on Saturday if I go to the supermarket
:moon:

I will read them but I think the size of them puts me off (are some bigger than others?). I do read other books but as I work it's usually a couple of chapters each night before I go to sleep. Are they really easy to get in to? I did like the films(seen the first 2).

Books 1 & 2 are small and easy to get into too. And you can read a couple of chapters a night no problem :D
Book 3 isn't that big either and starts to get more grown up. Books 4 onwards are huge  but again you can still read a bit at a time. :D

You could save them till Jake is old enough for long bedtime stories - one chapter of book 1 or 2 would be perfect for night time reading

I'm not that fussy on the films (although i watch them), but i LOVE the books!
Can't wait for my copy tomorrow - i'm really going to relish reading it and will no doubt be weeping all the way through it  :cheer:
