so we did have sex yesterday and I didn't have any ewcm and today at lunch time all of a sudden I have cramps , ewcm, shall I skip tonight and do it tomorrow night instead? its just that I don't want to have to do every day , any opinions? but than I don't want to miss any opportunity either, do you do it everyday you are fertile?

My partner knew i wanted to go on Tuesday, but his ear infection started again, so we didnt end up doing it, but because he almost felt guilty, he then said we will go for the next 3 days

Come next cycle, if we arent lucky, i will just go everyday - why not

I will see if my DH is up for it as well, if he is than we could do it.

ahhh ok, yea i wouldn't stress over dong it tonight, esp if you haven't got a positive opk.

Keep testing and see what happens.

Apparently it’s best to dtd every couple of days anyway. And the swimmers can survive in there for a few days. Give your oh a day off to build up some new swimmers if you’re not up for it.

What cycle day are you? What day do you normally ovulate? Is this your first day of EWCM this cycle? How many days of it do you normally get? Are they sharp cramps or dull? We dtd every other day until just before ovulation and then every day around it.

Every other day is nearly just as good as every day. I found trying daily far too much pressure . You’ll be covered by dtd yesterday x

Hiya so I am on cd11 and this is the first day I noticed ewcm. I used to ovulate on cd11/12 prior to miscarriage but now it seems later. We didn’t do it tonight but will do it tomorrow. It’s just that my most fertile day is the day before the Lh surge but it’s not possible to know when that would be. If we do it tomorrow which is cd12 than I might not get my pos opk till cd14 that means I still miss my the day before plan if we do it every other day if that makes sense ?

Believe it or not I got my pos opk today(peak) on my monitor! Arghhh so I missed the day before peak. So the line was as dark as the control like it might mean I already ovulated ?

If you are getting your positive today then you could ovulate today, tomorrow (more likely) or the day after (less likely), if you’re just getting the posture today you prob haven’t ovulated just yet but it should happen very soon, see if you can get some BD done today incase ovulation is tomorrow! Fx x

Hi night owl thanks but my ewcm dried up already and it always dries up on the day of lh surge. I only get like 2 days of ewcm before positive opk and that was yesterday so I missed it right? If my ewcm dries up does it mean I ovulated already? And I am not fertile anymore?

It does sound like you do ovulate on the day of the surge then, but there really is no way of knowing for sure what day you ov without temping, but if you have BD within the last 3 days you should still have a good chance, apparently when you start to see EWCM it has already been there internally for a little while before it shows itself, and it’s a really good sign that you are getting it

There’s so many unknowns with all of this and it can be so stressful, I am thinking more and more about the ovusense thing!

Yes me too night owl. I have no time to waste with my age I think if it doesn’t happen this or next month I might invest in OvuSense. I still have ovulation pains but no ewcm today. I wish I just knew when is the best time for me. I am using conceive plus again as since the miscarriage I feel a bit dry so hopefully it will help. We managed to bd this morning but I don’t think my DH can manage 2 in a day so I have to wait till tomorrow night

EWCM usually stops the day BEFORE ovulation. If you have a peak that is the optimal time to dtd as you will ovulate in 12-48 hours. If you have ovulation pains you are still fertile. This morning is perfect timing.

How strange that ewcm stops the day before so does it mean that you are more fertile the day before peak fertility when you have more ewcm ? I do still have ovulation pains so hopefully this morning session will do the trick but knowing my infertility struggles it won’t be a bfp
Also I have been feeling little nauseous for the last couple of days. Would ovulation cause this?

Yes the hormones can cause nausea. Don't sure about EWCM...all a bit confusing. Did you check your cervix for EWCM? Might be that it's still there. if you've got pains you are either ovulating or about to. Do before ovulation is better than actual day of I think.

ahhhh no really? i had ewcm yesterday, dtd and today it has practically gone.

Definitely no chance of dtd tonight unfortunately

I did want to cover all three days, but oh is struggling with this heat, so i just have to let it go.

I know the heat is not helping
on a good note, I saw my gynecologist today and she got hold of my hospital notes and my last miscarriage pregnancy was in the womb indeed so not ectopic. I am so glad that it was in the right place and my hormones were high enough to confirm that it wasn't a chemical pregnancy.
she said just keep having sex at least 3 times a week and than we had a good laugh about sex is getting tiring and routine etc... so it was good to talk to someone to be honest especially a doctor. I still have mild endo on my left ovary but she said thats not a cause of infertility, I need to go on birth control after I have another baby or if it doesn't happen and we want to stop trying. My tubes and uterus looking all normal too , this was done when I had my miscarriage operation, the internal scan also came back fine. She said unfortunately my eggs are as old as I am and the older the eggs are higher the miscarriage rates so there is nothing I can do to make this happen , just keep trying.

hi sunflower also yes I did see some ewcm today but it was small that I could have missed it easily. So I think I am going to have to see if it happens with all the BD we had prior and this morning, I don't think we can manage another session tonight, and it may be best to leave for another day
I also have a lot of pain in my uterus , I wonder why that is?

Not great to do it twice a day anyway. Is it like period pain? I get that around ovulation too. If you ovulate today you are covered anyway.
