the school have realised at long last that paris needs extra help than what she is already getting and they've done a plan which is totally fab, and I am so happy :cheer: :cheer:

Mental health have also been today and they are going to get us into a support group for austistic families :cheer:

awww brilliant
heres my happy dance for you

Yea...Fantastic... :cheer:

You'd think being told that there's something wrong with your child and that they need extra help would make you feel bad...but it's just soooo nice to be listened too and feel you've taken a step forward with helping your child.

totally true, I want her to live as normal life as possible. She's so clever too but she struggles with her communication and doesn't socialise well, her best friend has just left too as her parents have moved 20 miles away.

Paris sounds a bit like my daughter    She had her best friend leave three years ago, then she made another best friend who also left the following year.... She looked so lost, but she's made more friends now... Once her communication got better she really started to make friends... She was also diagnosed with dyslexia a few weeks ago (a diagnosis we have suspected since she was 4) and now she's getting help for that... I must be the only mum in the world that got all excited about her child being diagnosed with Dyslexia, it was like a weight of my shoulders. :cheer: But like Paris, Tia's dead bright so it was so painful to see her struggle...

I was just wondering about Paris actually...hope you don't mind me asking...What is the likelihood that you will have another autistic child? Is it genetic at all? Are your chances higher with this one?

No they are lower, there's a lot of mental health problems in my ex's family. Baby will be checked though, but it'#s highly unlikely this one will be autistic :D

Paris is also dyslexic - we came across this by accident. Its a relief when they actually find something wrong, as a mum you just know something isn't right

Im glad somthing is going to be done to help you all

 :cheer:  :cheer:
