I got up about an hour ago, and had a bleed. It was like the start of a period, bright red, there wasnt loads so i wouldnt say it was a massive bleed, but it wasnt a show either cos it wasnt mucus like (which is odd cos ive had constant mucus type stuff since i was about 25 weeks!)

Anyway its stopped now, ive got no pain or anything (well no more than usual lol) and hes moving fine..does it really need checking or shall i see how it goes?

I know it sounds bad of me, but i really dont think i can make it to the hospital today cos i cant easily get my daughter looked after and shes ill! If i ring docs they'll tell me to go hosp!

Ring the docs and ask for someone to come out to you hun. Explain you can't take your sick daughter to the labour ward, they'll understand cos they won't want any infection risk

Hope you are ok xxxxxxxxx

I would defo ring....I had a sweep yesterday and had some pinky stuff come away (TMI) while I was still with the midwife I asked her if that was ok she said pinky stuff was ok but to ring if bright blood (which there hasn't been...thankfully) Its probably nothing to worry about but better to be sure than worrying about it.

If its not normal for u just give em a call

Ok thanks, well im gunna ring up cos theres been abit more, my sister can have my daughter if needed. I'm so tired and cant be doing with this today grr x

 best to get it checked hun, when you get back maybe ask your sister to look after your daughter a while longer so you can get some sleep xxxxxxxx

I had this and went in to day assessment unit (I just turned up cos they weren't answering their phone!) They didn't bother checking me or anything >:( they asked for a urine sample but I'd just gone so I asked to give it after, then they put me on the monitor for half hour, said everything was fine, I asked if they still wanted my urine sample and they said not to worry and sent me home! So obviously my hospital aren't too worried about bright red blood. Then again this was a Sunday lunchtime and the midwives were probably missing out on tea and biscuits in the staff room :/

Sorry for the negativity. I'm sure your hospital is better than mine! Mid-week midwives probably care a bit more too lol

yeah id say def checked out, good luck hope everythings ok xxx

Finally home! Turned out that the bleed was a mix of cervical change and burst blood vessel caused by the weight of baby! Bleeding has stopped now :)

They kept me on the monitor for ages tho cos he was "too active" How can a baby be too active ?!

Also go thrush booo :(

Thanks for all your replies :) x

Maybe the thrush has weakened the skin a little? Glad you got it checked so it can clear up before LO arrives xxxxxxxxx

Glad you went hun and I hope you manage to have a little rest if possible xx

Yeah i was thinking thrush and blood vessel could be linked!
I'm so tired now roll on bedtiime! :)
