I know exactly how you feel! I'm an IBS sufferer too and went through what you are experiencing in the early stages of my pregnancy.
My symptoms settled down after a few weeks but I would just recommend you drink plenty of water and try to avoid foods you know upset your system. Hopefully it should pass soon.
One point worth noting - diarhea (sp?) is usually caused (in IBS) by constipation and it might be in idea to take something to regulate your 'movements' if you know what I mean. I take linseeds every morning. You can get them from Holland & Barratt and they keep me regular and reduces my IBS symptoms a lot. You can also take fybogel when you are pregnant.
I know how you feel im exactly the same and was with previous pregnancys i went to see my gp and he gave me codeine to take if it got really bad so i would try having a word with your gp hun.
Awh, I hope it settles down soon hun. I suffer from IBS and I was very conctipated up until I found out I was pregnant and then I had the runs. i think it was the shock that did it as I really wasnt expecting it this month Mine has settled down now but it feels like my tummy is full of gas. does your tummy feel funny?
My tummy feels not to bad today although I have spent most of the morning on the toilet. I think I will see my GP and see what he says about trying codine....
It is bad enough feeling sick in the morning without having this problem too. I can't eat in the morning for the diarrhoea which makes the nausea even worse.
It's good to know that I am not suffering alone, all advice welcome.
