does anyone know how soon after a c section can you ttc

i was wondering after a c section how long is it till its safe to fall pregnant again? someone told me 6 months is that right?

i was told a year but i know lots that have concieved before that and been ok

I was told a year but *think* it may be the same with vaginal births - just time to let your body get back to normal. although lots of people get pregnant within the year and are fine.

Yes, i was told to wait a year too! Didn't ask why though......it was when i was being discharged from hospital and i just looked at the midwife and said "are you having a laugh?!"

perhaps the MW just doesnt think im ready for another then
