Does any one else have a "target"?

We starting TTC in Feb 2006. Shortly after I found out my brother's gf was pg (accident) .. so my target was to be pg before she gave birth in Nov'06 .... that's been and gone. In June'06 I found out a close friend of mine was pg ... so my target moved to at least be pg before she gave birth in Feb'07 .. that has also been and gone .... then in August'06 I found out that my best friend was pg ... so once again I moved my target to be pg before she gives birth .... she is due in 9 days .. so that target has also been smashed to smithereens!! 15 months of TTC and no light at the end of the tunnel .....


As of the end of this month we are officially giving up. At least until next year. No more please. We've booked a holiday for November and we're just going to enjoy the rest of the year without any TTC. We'll rethink next year (by which time I'll be 33!).

Good luck to the rest of you TTC'ers .... hope you get your BFPs soon.

It will no doubt happen when you least expect it, and you will have morning sickness on your holiday

I pray for morning sickness every day! But it never comes ... neither does that elusive pink or blue line .... never seen one, not even an evap line

So strictly no TTC again this year .. at least that way I KNOW I'm not pg .... rather than hoping against hope every month that I am!!

Next year we might look into IVF.

Aw Bec, I want to wrap you up in cuddles and support, you've had such an incredibly rough time of it! Go for it with the IVF thing, I know three girls who got pregnant that way and they really couldn't believe how well it worked (not first time for all but pretty quickly) Your plan to take a break and then try IVF is a cracking one as you'll take the pressure off and then by trying it you may have a fresh burst of faith because you'll feel like you're taking things in hand. I'm really praying for you and you are often in my thoughts.

Praying for a sticky BFP for you soon (maybe this month after those 'shadow' lines you've had! ).

We've got some more tests to go through yet .. and depending on what those say we might think about IVF .. but as I say ... we'll think about that next year. We're just going to live our lives and have fun for the rest of the year without thinking about it all

I'd need to lose some weight before we could get proper fertility help anyway .... so I'm also using this year to do that! I'm doing the Race for Life in 7.5 weeks and my aim to is run it all (a HOOOGE challenge for me!!) ..... I've purposely told everyone I know so that I can back out! haha!

We've got a short break in June to Brighton, then a holiday to Morocco in November!! Woohoo!!

P.S ... where abouts in London are you Becs? I work in and around London quite alot!!

i had a target of before i was 25 , well thats this week so not gonna happen , and ideally before hubby turned 30 , thats in feb 2008 so ive only got what another month to reach that one trying to stay more relaxed , got to have my surgery this week which is helping take my mind off it . but think ive got my hopes up that after that ill fall straight away , and i know ill set myself up for a major fall when it doesnt happen ( ud think id learn after how long weve been trying lol )

i also had a funny target to be pregnant before kat gave birth so kat would be in 3rd tri , feefee in 2nd and me in first , well lucy is here now and im still not

its now 17 official months ( but 29 months since i came off the pill)

gotta be a bfp out there for me somewhere ?

My traget is 6 months

My reason is.... i want to get married abroad march 2009 meaning if i have a baby anytime after 6 month i will be taking a very young baby abroad and dont want to do that.
