Doctors today help!!!

I've not been on here much lately as I've been working away and been all over the place to be honest with you but I'm not back and as I am now in cycle 13 I have now booked our appointment to see the GP about getting some tests done.

So to all you ladies that have had either the male test or the 21 day blood test done how easy was it to get your doctor to do them?

We are both 28 years old, good health and not over weight, don't smoke and have cut right back on the alcohol so everyone keeps saying we should have no problems in conceiving. Well I'm sorry but 13 months of trying and zip I think we need testing, I'm just hoping we get a nice doctor who will do the tests.

Is there anything I need to tell them or ask?

i have been trying for only 5 months and i have already had the day 21 test, im 28 next friday also

you need to pressure them to do this for you, it seems like its a luck thing in terms of how generous your gp is!! xx

I saw a new doc and she was lovely, going to refer us to the fertility specialists at the hospital and in the mean time got the 21 day test all booked & OHs got his sperm test to do this week too. She also wants us to do a chlamidya test as well so got to do that tomorrow!

Very happy we didn't have to argue with her to get the tests done but a bit scared of the results.

Im booked to see GP in 2 weeks...whats the 21 day test? sorry but Im going in the hope that she will approve tests x

21 day test is when they take a blood test on day 21 of your cycle for checking hormones and that OV is occuring when it should. You may also get booked in for another blood test between days 3-6. Hope it all goes well x
