I think I ovulated yesterday. However, I got pretty drunk last night. I drank 2 Martinis and 4 Baileys over 4 hours. I wasn't that drunk that I couldn't remember anything, but I had trouble walking straight, lol. So if I did ovulate yesterday, would that have prevented the egg from fertilizing? My mum says it might have helped due to me being more relaxed, lol. I know women get pregnant with drunken one night stands, but they are drunk when having sex, not when actually ovulating, like I was yesterday.

I'm no expert but I wouldn't have thought that alcohol would affect fertilisation. After all, as you say loads of people fall pregnant after drunken nights out and a lot of those women won't even know they're ovulating if they're not aware of their cycles, etc. It's just that us lot in TTC are all so aware of what's going on with our bodies that we tend to worry about all the little details when lots of people won't give it a second thought and still fall preggers! TTC's such a bloody nightmare sometimes! (actually no, make that all the time!)
BTW I think you can still be in with a chance for about 24 hours post ovulation so its worth pouncing on OH again tonite, just to make sure!

lol, thanks Emma. To be honest though, I just want to relax this month with it being Christmas. I'm just thinking if it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't this time. I'm drinking another martini right now, lol.
I wouldn't think you having a few drinks would affect your chances in anyway ~ as Emma said, think of the amount of girls who get totally sh*t faced then fall pregnant!!!

Very much doubt that a couple of drinks will harm your chances at all - unless you were to drunk to (ahem) 'do the deed'.

am sitting here with my JD as we speak! i would go with what becks said and enjoy it while you can. last month i drank up until i was a week off af due, but to be honest if you think of all the un planned bfp's they carry on drinking for ages so i wouldnt worry just go get b'ding!
