Do ovulation kits work?

Hi! I am currently trying to conceive. I haven’t been able to get pregnant. I Baugh an E.P.t. Ovulation kit to see if I still ovulate. The confusing this is... I took one test yesterday and it said “positive “ 32 LH level. And this morning I took another and it said “negative” 9 level. So did my Lh surge happen last night ?? Why did it drop so fast? Is this normal? I’m 36 and have one daughter who is 8. I’m worried I am not fertile anymore.

I’m not sure what kit you have bought but most don’t tell you the level. I know the doctors blood test don’t measure LH and not sure how quickly it drops.

Was the positive rest the first you did or had you done earlier ones and got negatives? Other test kits require you to test for a few days so you get a baseline of your normal levels. Then they can indicate the +

Like Sugarpop has said i haven't heard of a kit that tells you the level.
