Do I sound pregnant? Too scared to test!

Hi there,

First time on here and I'm not even sure whether I'm posting this in the right place but hey, I'm sure one of you kind ladies will reply!

A couple of days to a week (not sure) after 'conception' I woke with really tender and heavy breasts that were not normal for me, with sensitive itchy nipples. If I'm honest, they looked like something from the front cover of the National Geographic! Haha. This only lasted a day or so really. I took a test the day I was due on last thing at night and it was negative. I am now a week late and too scared to do another test as I will be so disappointed if I'm not pregnant.

I have been having a pulling sensation and mild period-like cramps which I don't even normally get when I'm due on. Normally I have a little tummy ache about 20 minutes before my period comes and that's it. I also have mild lower back ache, burping and indigestion and keep feeling very feint and dizzy. I had a spell of nausea the other day but nothing since and I feel like I keep getting hot flushes. I should also be awarded an olympic gold medal for urinating as this is ALL the time at the moment!

I'd really appreciate people's opinions and if you could share your early symptoms as I think that I would be 5 weeks pregnant next Tuesday if I am.

its possible hun
sounds like u have quite alot of preg symtoms i was dizzy lots in the 1st trimester.
do a test its the only way 2 find out 4 sure, fingers crossed 4 u

Thanks for the quick reply! I really want to test but then I don't want to in case it's neg... (

I was pregnant once before and tested on the day that I was due on and it was negative and then a week later I tested again and it was positive so think I'll do the same this time. Sadly the pg didn't last that time. If I haven't had my period by Tuesday I'll do another one... fingers crossed for me!

bless ya, i know its so scary testing when u want 2 b pregnant so much, but u have been having really positive signs sounds 2 me that u are!

I would definitly test and then go see your doctor about the lower back pains and dizziness.

symptoms do vary from everyone really so any of your symptoms could point towards it

Thanks everyone...You know what it's like when every time you even go to the toilet you're dreading the dastardly period!! SOrry if that sounded crude, but I'm sure you all know what I mean! Well I'm holding out until Tuesday then and then I'll test and keep you posted!

Can any of you let me know what your early (say 5 weeks) symptoms were please?

anyway hun i know what you mean its normal to feel like that hun,

i was about 5 weeks when i found out i was preg and i tested becuase was feeling sick and been getting headaches lot more and the symptoms just kind of grew from there,

Preggo and period symptoms can be exactly the same...

The month i was pregnant I was dissapointed cause i thought it was all over...

Take the test its the only way you will know

Hi all,

On the Sunday after posting my question on here I started bleeding...text my friend to tell her and we were really disappointed as I'd really hoped that I was pregnant. However, it was literally like normal period bleeding but I guess more brown and lasted for 2 days and then completelt stopped. I've been worrying thinking that it was going to start up again bbut nothing...Had a little bit of cramping with it and that was that. Still getting light headed when I get up and things and feel like I can smell everything a million times more...but then it's easy to start convincing yourself of these things too when you really want something.

Do you think that it's worth me doing a test anyway or do yuou think it sounds like I definitely had my proper period and to just give up on it? Anyone been in this situation before?

I think you should test again and if positive go see your doctor to get your hcg levels checked.

it could be implatation bleeding or it could have been an early miscarriage or a threatened miscarriage. The only way youre going to know for sure is to get your hcg traced a few times.

The only way to know fo sure hun is to test, and as HollyHobby says it may be implantation bleeding.

I bled for 12 weeks so it could be nothing but for your own peace of mind i would do another test.

sounds like pregnacy but symptons are so similar sometimes that u build ur hopes up. do another test as its important to find out if u are or not epsecially if there is some bleeding,let us know when u do xx
