Hi Ladies,

can any of you tell me if I need ID for my 6 month old baby when flying on a domestic flight? We are off to Glasgow in a couple of weeks for a wedding and easyjet are a nightmare to get on the phone.

Thanks a million

i have a feelin you do.
maybe you could phone up an airline and ask

I think you might need to take the birth certificate but best call and ask. BA are really good to get through to - just pretend you are flying with them!!

Thanks girls, I was just stressing because someone told me I needed a passport and its too late for me to get one in time now.

You dont need a passport for the baby to fly on a domestic flight but you do need the birth certificate, they will check your name off your id against the mothers name on the birth certificate.

We have just flown from Newcastle to Belfast this week with easyjet. They didnt even want to see her birth certificate which I found strange! (she is 7 months old BTW). Like Melanie said, they dont need passports for domestic flights so no worries. x
