I'm clearing out my cupboards and was wondering if I would have to throw away size 1 & 2 avent teats that have been used or could I keep them for the next baby (2-3 years at least!).

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really have no idea!

Ooo i dont know,, would be interesting to find out though.

I'm asking as I couldn't find any of the paperwork that came with teats/bottles. Just wondering what everyone else does. If I could keep them it would be great (£3.99 for 2 and all that!!)

Darn it! Thanks for that hun x x x

They would say that of course  .

Does anyone replace their teats after 3 months? I sure haven't!

We're just replacing ours now. She's been using them for at least 5 or 6 months but I forgot to change them  There is a huge difference between them - the old ones are almost white (which I only realised in contrast, I hadn't noticed before) whereas the new ones are completely transparent. They feel a little different too.

I haven't kept my teats or bottles as they were all pretty worn out, we had to replace our bottles after about 8 months as they got really scratched, but we did start putting them in the dishwasher about then.

TT recommend that you replace dummies after a month! Good marketing or what?! We still have dummies from when Ella was born  I work on the principle that as long as they are undamaged and clean we keep using them!

We've only replaced them when she moved up to a different flow teat which funnily enough has been every 3 months! We won't bother replacing the stage 3 ones because really they see very little use now that she has her milk in cups too.
