Disappointing first scan

Hi all

Just had my first scan today and feeling quite disappointed now. I'm on first round of clomid 50mg, started them on CD21 as adv by doc, now on CD28.

I had quite a few follicles (PCOS) but the biggest one was only 6mm. Got another scan on Friday to see if they are going to respond to clomid but what are the chances they will miraculously grow by then? Has anyone else had a similar result or do you think it's not likely to work this time?

Sorry to hear about your scan.

When you say cd21 do you mean you took clomid without af?

I finished taking my first round of clomid yesterday cd 6 and I don't get scans, just 21 days bloods.

I have really long cycles so was given option to take provera and then start clomid as normal on cd 2. But because I started my period naturally in May and was going on holiday a week later she said to just start clomid on the 16th June, otherwise I would be away when the scans were needed.

It's weird how some people have scans and some don't! I hated the scan so not looking forward to another one. I had bloods done today and need them again on Friday.

Fingers crossed for your round of clomid. I'm praying that my follicles grow by Friday! x

UPDATE

Todays scan showed 2 follicles had doubled in size to 11 and 12mm. Been told to BD monday and weds and have another scan on friday.

Has anyone had similar situation or ovulated eventually when small-ish follicles grow? Im worried 12mm will be biggest they get so not getting my hopes up at the moment.

The main thing is that they have grown and it's probably likely they will grow bigger too!!

The answer to my question is yes, small follicles can grow!!

Had a scan yesterday on CD39 and my follicle has grown to 21mm!! So had my pregnyl injection and now just gotta wait to see what happens with my fingers crossed!
